Text Message Terms

The program

AFL Quote and Shipment Updates is the text-message program of Avery Freight Lines (C-NA Worldwide LLC). It sends informational texts about a quote request you made and the shipments you book with AFL, such as follow-up questions about your freight, your quote, and pickup and delivery updates. It never sends marketing messages. AFL starts sending texts once its texting number is registered with the mobile carriers; the number will be listed here.

How you join

You join on our quote form, when it offers texts beside a cell number you give us: you tick the box “Text me about this quote and my shipments.” Beside it, the form shows these terms with your cell number, and we record them with your request, including the number, the date and the time:

Texts are optional. You can request a quote without agreeing to them, and agreeing is not a condition of any purchase.

How often we text

Message frequency varies with your quote and your shipments. You may receive a few messages about a single quote or shipment, and none when nothing is in progress.

Costs

AFL charges nothing for these texts. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan with your carrier.

Stopping texts

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts; END, CANCEL, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE and OPT OUT work too, and so does telling us any other reasonable way, such as calling (909) 918-5477. We honor a request made any other way within 10 business days. We may send one final message to confirm that you have opted out, and then no more. To join again, tick the box on a new quote request when the form offers it, or ask us.

Mobile carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Who can join

You must be 18 or older, and the account holder for the cell number you give us for texts, or authorized by the account holder to use it. Please tell us if your number changes so texts about your shipments reach you, and not the next owner of the number.

Privacy

We never sell, share or provide your mobile number or your text-message opt-in data and consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your text-message opt-in data and consent stay with AFL and the service providers that run our texting, email and business software for AFL. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms by posting a revised version here with a new “Last updated” date. For a material change, we will tell you by text before it applies to you.
